What is an Inuksuk?

An Inuksuk is a pile of rocks in the shape of a person. Inuk means 'person' and suk means ‘substitute’ in the Inuit language. The inuksuk was used by the Inuit in Canada to show people the way, to warn people of danger ahead, as a memorial sign or as a helpful tool at the caribou hunt. The Inuksuk stands for Inuit power, leadership and motivation.

Inuksuk.pdf Whaw, how privileged have I been to live this wild and beautiful experience” is the feeling I have back home while rediscovering my old habits and occupations.

Our Mongolian “Khuvsgul Dogsled expedition” was an experience we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Getting to the start point was an expedition itself, 700 kilometers on roads, only existing on the roadmap of Mongolia, several flat tires and other mechanical problems ....
