Through our travels and expeditions, we are more than ever convinced that nature is a perfect teacher. When travelling through pristine wilderness, over high mountains or on rough seas, you immediately feel humble, a state of mind we tend to loose in this 21first high-tech century where we think we can conquer anything !

Being outdoors, you appreciate your shelter, food and water, and you appreciate more than ever true friendship. One learns when to travel and when to stay put and listen to the teachings of the weather elements. One doesn't ‘conquer’ a mountain; the mountain lets one walk on it.

Dogsled training March 2001 – Charlevoix – Québec PDF Print E-mail

9 days of perfect snow, mild temperatures and sunshine on our first dogsled trip were a blast.
Together with our quebeqois friend Daniel, we explored the Charlevoix region, learning the mushing skills the hard way. His advice was simple: "Jee, to go to the left, Ha to go to the right, and hike to move one, the rest you will learn on the trail!"


After this 8 days dogsledding, we understood Rasmussens's statement better than ever: "Give me snow, give me dogs, you can have all the rest!"
This adventure was the inspiration for our future winter expeditions.
