An Inuksuk is a pile of rocks in the shape of a person. Inuk means 'person' and suk means ‘substitute’ in the Inuit language. The inuksuk was used by the Inuit in Canada to show people the way, to warn people of danger ahead, as a memorial sign or as a helpful tool at the caribou hunt. The Inuksuk stands for Inuit power, leadership and motivation.

The Scottish Highlands is our favorite hiking and training destination, close to home. The weather is miserable, the mosquitoes and black flies eat you alive, but nevertheless, this place is magic and you never get enough of it! "Altitude" doesn't seem to be an issue in the Higlands. But climbing1200 m from sea level, on a muddy and slippery surface wit a 25kg havy backpack can be a challenge at times! In Scottland they have a saying: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". |
