An Inuksuk is a pile of rocks in the shape of a person. Inuk means 'person' and suk means ‘substitute’ in the Inuit language. The inuksuk was used by the Inuit in Canada to show people the way, to warn people of danger ahead, as a memorial sign or as a helpful tool at the caribou hunt. The Inuksuk stands for Inuit power, leadership and motivation.

Today Saturday is another day waiting to start the race;
San Pedro de Atacama is so beautiful, but we are very eager to get started now.
Basically we are just killing time, hanging around, taking about gear, pain, how hard it is gonna be and ..... what a superb experience in an icredible landscape this Crossing is gonna be.
Tomorrow we have the material check and than we are off to the desert by bus. The race starts on Monday, so the 250K will have to be coverd in 6 days iso 7.
Thank you all for the many messages of support !
Saludo desde San Pedro
